Happiness Musings

Do you sometimes wonder if happiness or how can you become happier in everyday life?

Be selfish!!

I don’t mean this in a bad way but remember to put yourself on the list the to-do.

Happiness is an inside job. Feeling at home within us is where you will find your true happiness. That comes from knowing you are worthy of love, care, and all the great things that make you happy.

A feeling and glimmer of ease and peace that is permanently there. Even when struggles and obstacles come our way. You are aware of this happiness at your core.

The one that gives you a compass. A lifetime of happiness is cultivated moment by moment day by day.

So do those things that fuel your happiness. Be with people that share in your happiness and surround yourself with information that grows your joy and does not dim your light.

Keep smiling.

Developing a Growth Mindset

Develop a Growth Mindset

Top 8 Tips to developing a Growth Mindset

Developing a growth mindset is crucial for personal and professional growth. It involves a shift in thinking, from a fixed mindset to one that is open to learning and growth.

Here are 8 tips to help you develop a growth mindset:

Embrace challenges: Challenges are opportunities to learn and grow, rather than obstacles to be avoided. Embrace them and view them as opportunities to push yourself to new levels.

Embrace failure: Failure is not a negative outcome, but a valuable learning experience. Embrace your imperfections so you can break their power over your mindset and succeed despite them. Don’t be discouraged by setbacks, but instead, learn from them and use the lessons to fuel future growth.

Focus on the process: Instead of just focusing on the result, focus on the process and the steps you need to take to reach your goal. This will help you stay motivated and keep your focus on learning and growth.

Surround yourself with positive people: Surround yourself with individuals who have a growth mindset, who are supportive and encourage learning and growth.

Cultivate a love of learning: Seek out new experiences, challenges, and opportunities to learn. Try one new thing every day and make learning a lifelong pursuit.

Cultivate resilience: Resilience is critical in the face of challenges and setbacks. Cultivate resilience by developing a positive attitude and perseverance in the face of challenges.

Reflect on your progress: Regularly reflect on your progress and what you have learned. Celebrate your accomplishments and acknowledge areas where you need to grow.

Practice gratitude: Cultivate an attitude of gratitude by focusing on what you have, rather than what you lack. This will help you maintain a positive outlook and be open to growth and learning.

In conclusion, developing a growth mindset is essential for personal and professional growth. By embracing challenges, focusing on the process, surrounding yourself with positive people, cultivating a love of learning, and practicing gratitude, you can cultivate a growth mindset and set yourself up for success.

Goal Settings

Tips for Mindful Goal Settings

Setting goals is an important step in personal and professional development. But just setting goals is not enough. To truly achieve your goals, it’s important to approach goal setting mindfully and intentionally.

Here are some tips for mindful goal setting:

Start with self-awareness: Take time to reflect on your values, passions, and strengths. This will help you set goals that are aligned with what truly matters to you.

Set clear and specific goals: Be clear and specific about what you want to achieve. This will make it easier to measure your progress and stay motivated.

Focus on the process, not just the outcome: While it’s important to have a clear end goal in mind, it’s also important to focus on the steps you need to take to get there. Celebrate small victories along the way, and don’t get discouraged if progress is slow.

Prioritize your goals: With so many things to do, it’s important to prioritize your goals. Choose a few key goals to focus on at any given time, and be flexible about adjusting your priorities as needed.

Practice self-compassion: Be kind to yourself along the way. Don’t beat yourself up if you don’t achieve a goal or if progress is slow. Instead, focus on what you have learned and how you can use that knowledge to make progress.

Celebrate progress: Celebrate your successes, no matter how small they may seem. This will help you stay motivated and build momentum toward your goals.

Stay flexible: Life is unpredictable, and goals may need to be adjusted as circumstances change. Stay flexible and open to new possibilities, and be willing to adjust your goals as needed.

Find support: Surround yourself with people who support your goals and can hold you accountable. Seek mentors and coaches who can help you stay on track and make progress.

In conclusion, mindful goal setting is a powerful tool for personal and professional growth. By focusing on self-awareness, prioritizing your goals, and celebrating progress, you can stay motivated and on track toward achieving your goals.

Healing Poetry

This poem was inspired by a client that touched my heart every time she come into my salon to do her hair.

She gave her ALL to those around her but never felt worthy to keep some of that care for herself mentally or physically.

We can all sympathize because as mothers, and caregivers it’s so easy to put ourselves last on the priority list.

Time to heal

Her light shines bright
But she doesn’t know her worth
Feeling depleted on her journey to help
Honestly, she realized that cannot help when she is drowning

But her mind thinks it’s selfish to take time to rest
She is tired and worn out
How does she find her worth?
She searched for answers in empty spaces

She looked for strength in someone else`s eyes
So disappointed when none was given
Why is her purpose to help so painful
It is making her sick

She discovered the essence to balance
The art of what makes her happy
The magic of words in her mind
It all starts in her mind, those words hold power

I am enough
I am enough
I am enough
I am enough

The truth of these words touched her heart
Time stood still at 3:50 pm
And the belief starts to grow
I am enough

Her value starts with her
Her boundaries take priority
Her sanity is more important
She knows her value

It’s time to receive
It’s time to heal
It’s time to fill her cup
So that the ripple effect of her love keeps shining on

With Love
